Group therapy is the process of sharing with others your inner life and process of growth.
An ongoing therapy group has the same people in the group every week. While many ongoing therapy groups has 8-10 members, Openings is limited to 6 members.
In an ongoing therapy group, the topic or subject matter of the group is whatever the group members decide to share that evening. Sometimes the interaction among the group members becomes the topic of discussion.
The group therapists create safety and help the group to process issues that come up.
Group members are asked to make a three month commitment when they join the group. Many different feelings come up at the beginning of group therapy as you get used to the people and the setting. Making this commitment allows you to process these experiences before deciding if it means this group is not for you.
